The Obesity Center of Inha University involves specialists in endocrinology, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, bariatric surgery and family medicine, complying with the needs of each patient. About 25% of Koreans are obese, and the rate of obesity is increasing rapidly. Since obesity has many complications; it is a condition that needs to be properly treated. Losing weight and maintaining weight are difficult and therefore, there is a need for medical support. In case of the morbidly obese patients who do not respond to medical care, there is a bariatric surgery team for the treatment fo these patients. We also provide weight reduction and focal obesity management at once for focal obesity patients. We deliver a comprehensive lifestyle modification program (diet and exercise intervention) for patients. As a multifunctional center, the obesity center can treat a variety of of obese patients with various weight-loss programs individualized for the patient.
