Pathology

Introduction

The Department of Pathology plays a critical role in patient care and medical research. It focuses on accurately diagnosing patients as quickly as possible, while also providing the necessary resources and expertise for medical research across various departments.

To ensure efficiency, we have established a fine needle aspiration laboratory within our department. This allows us to swiftly diagnose palpable masses such as those found in the breast, thyroid, and lymph nodes. Patients can rely on receiving rapid results within 24 hours.

Our aim is to simplify healthcare by delivering timely diagnoses and supporting advancements in medical knowledge through focused research efforts.
We collaborate with neighboring hospitals to enhance patient care and ensure the accuracy of treatments. This includes conducting tissue and cell tests on specimens obtained from private clinics and local hospitals through entrusted testing.

Additionally, we have established a tissue bank that allows us to perform advanced diagnostic services and support various molecular and biological research endeavors using frozen tissues. Our state-of-the-art techniques involve flow cytometry, PCR, HPV DNA chip testing, among others. These cutting-edge approaches enable precise diagnosis as well as contribute to ongoing research efforts.
