Occupational and Environmental Medicine

Introduction

The Department of Occupational and Environmental Medicine at Inha University Hospital aims to prevent diseases and promote health among workers through comprehensive health management and early detection and treatment of diseases.

We utilize various diagnostic methods to detect diseases early, analyze and evaluate workplace environments, propose improvements, and undertake overall health management tasks.

The department has opened an outpatient clinic and established a monitoring system for occupational diseases in the Incheon area to systematically manage occupational disease prevention. We conduct various studies on health assessments using biological and clinical indicators, the impact of genetic susceptibility on cancer incidence, and the laboratory evaluation of the cytotoxicity and genotoxicity of hazardous chemicals. Additionally, we are involved in regional cancer registration, air pollution monitoring, and health impact assessments.
