Psychiatry

Introduction

Inha University Hospital's Department of Psychiatry diagnoses and treats various mental illnesses caused by psychological, social, and biological factors affecting the central nervous system, alongside research and education.

We have established five specialized clinics for focused treatment of specific disorders, supported by three specialized laboratories and treatment centers (academic skills center, clinical psychology lab, computerized neurocognitive testing lab, and neurocognitive rehabilitation center) for professional evaluation and specialized therapy.

Inpatient care is provided in a protective ward with 27 beds and an open ward, where psychiatrists, fellows, residents, specialized nurses, clinical psychologists, social workers, special education experts, and occupational therapists work collaboratively to administer medication, individual therapy, group therapy, electroconvulsive therapy, and various rehabilitation therapies. Regular discussions and collaborative efforts among various specialists help create a therapeutic environment focused on patient care.
